Monday came and went, but on Tuesday he got a card in the mail from the grandmother of the child he had baptised two weeks ago. Enclosed in the card was a twenty dollar bill. She shared how much the service had meant to their family and that she was putting twenty dollars in "for gas money". She had no clue that Joel was concerned about where our gas money would come from. But God did! He provided just what we needed and even told us what the money was for!
I think I will need to put a gas receipt in our Memorial Box as a reminder of how God provided for us. God is our provider, but He also blessed Joel's commitment to tithe with just what we needed ~~gas money!

Thank you for sharing this wonderful story of God's love.
Renee!! What a wonderful story of God's faithful provision!! LOve that the dear lady wrote it was for "gas money"...when that's exactly what it was for!! I have a guess too.Had you used the tithe to meet your needs, there would have still been more needs than money and you wouldn't have gotten the envelope from her...cause life's like that...so keep tithing - even the tight times - cause He's got a whole bunch more "tricks" up His sleeve! Yippee Jesus!!
Thank you for sharing - such an encouragement!
What a wonderfully encouraging post! God is indeed our provider and He is faithful. Thank you for sharing this.
Blessings,
Joan
