"There is a reason we refer to 'leaps of faith' ~ because the decision to consent to any notion of divinity is a might jump from the rational over to the unknowable....If faith were rational, it wouldn't be by definition, faith. Faith is belief in what you cannot see or prove or touch. Faith is walking face-first and full-speed into the dark. If we truly knew all the answers in advance as to the meaning of life and the nature of God and the destiny of our souls, our belief would not be a leap of faith and it would not be a courageous act of humanity; it would just be....a prudent insurance policy."
The entire 11th chapter of Hebrews speaks on faith, but today Hebrews 11:1 comes to mind for me. "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, and certain of who we do not see....

I remember learning the definition of faith in Hebrews back when I was a teenager. I haven't forgotten it although it has been decades. Thank you for sharing with us again today. I noticed on your link it said Rebee. I thought it was someone new, but looks like it was a typo. I'll change it to Renee.
Blessings,
Charlotte
Thanks Charlotte...it was a typing error...Yes, I learned about Hebrews chapter 11 in confirmation when I was 13 yrs old and so eager to learn about the Bible.
I too learned the meaning of faith when I was a teenager. In fact, I guess I learned it the same time Charlotte, who is now my wife, did. Thanks for sharing these good words about faith.
You are very welcome Clif...

Thank you for reminding me of God's POWER. Needed to hear that today.
Thanks Jan Lyn...glad to share ;-)
Renee, one of my most favorite verses is Heb 1:1,3
"God ... upholding all things by the word of His power ..."
Whenever I feel perplexed and confused, I remember this verse - God will uphold everything in our lives. It is nothing to Him - after all, He takes care of the whole universe! It always brings perspective.
Blessings,
Malva
