Spiritual Sundays: Can You Really Trust Me?

I have been reading my devotional book, "God Calling" again, and this past week it has been nourishing my soul with living water. It is written as if God was talking to you one on one. Today I would like to share one day's writing with you.

Courage

I am here.

Fear not.
Can you really trust me?

I am a God of Power
As well as a Man of Love

so human

yet so divine.

Just trust.

I cannot
and will not fail you.
All is well.

Courage.

Many are praying for you both.

A friend told me that while she was praying for my surgery on Tuesday she saw Jesus in the operating room standing at the end of the table, holding my feet in His hands. Micey from Spiritual Sundays who is an operating room nurse, commented on last week's post I had written and reminded me that God would be doing the surgery ~ the doctors and nurses are only His instruments. She went on to say that I would never be alone in the OR. The skilled staff and God would be with me. Another friend also told me to visualize taking all the people praying for me into the operating room. See them forming a circle around me and praying throughout the surgery. Wow. Comments like this and the many many who are praying for me here, in my corner of the world, and beyond have humbled me. Thank you for your prayers. I know God is with me. It is all in His hands. I am blessed.

God is with you too. Whatever storms you are facing. Whatever challenges lie ahead. Fear Not. Take courage. He is here. He walks with us. He is our Stormwalker. We are blessed to call Him Savior.

That was beautiful. I'd like to
be among those in the prayer circle
around you on March 23rd during
the operation. I had a prayer
circle at church around me
the day before I went up before
the disability judge. I know
winning disability was not good luck. It was answered prayer.
Back in the 1990's it was difficult
to receive Social Security Disability for CFS - can't x-ray it, can't prove it with a blood test. It was answered prayer.
Praying for you daily. Patricia (An Encourager Friend)

Renee - this is wonderful! I'm joining with others in praying for your surgery on Tuesday. God is with you - no matter where you go - He is guiding the surgeon's hands and His angels are encamped around you. If God is for us who can be against us?

Blessings,
Joan

What a beautiful post, Renee! I am joining those in the prayer circle for you. More importantly, the Lord will be there with you. He will guide the hands of the medical staff. Micey is right in what she told you; that God is doing the operating! Take joy in knowing that you are loved and many are praying for you. Have a beautiful weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi

And that is true what sister Micey said. When I was giving birth 15 yrs. ago, I asked for Him to be there. While everyone was yelling at the top of their lungs from pain, I didn't have any pain. I couldn't relate to those complaints because I didn't feel them and I knew, I had two helping me at that time: my hubby and my Daddy! Praying that over you, too sister. I just want to let you know, you are in my prayers. Praying for a quick recovery also. May the Lord's strength, healing, comfort and protection cover you. It is. I pray that you are feeling that ever so strongly. "Be strong in the Lord's mighty power." -Eph.6:10

That devotion really touched me deeply. I really like that one.

You are in the mighty, capable hands of an incredible God.

I wanted to get your permission to put you on my prayer chain at my church for your surgery. They pray 24/7. If that is okay with you, just let me know and you can consider it done!

(I always ask before I call the prayer team.)

I know all about God's goodness during surgery. Had HE not single handed held me up I know I would not be the person I am today! I will lift you up in prayer. May God hold in His Hands. Thank you for sharing. My prayers are with you!

I believe what Micey told you as well. I had surgery on my knees a few years back. Oh, they were in terrible shape... constantly dislocating. *shudders* Anyway, my knees are now completely healed and I told my surgeon it was Jesus, the Master surgeon, who operated on my knees through his hands. He looked at me kind of funny for a sec, but after thinking about it, he replied, " I never thought about it, but I suppose you're right! My hands were only the tools needed for Jesus Christ to work His healing power." I'm not sure if my doctor really believed that and was just humoring me, and it doesn't really matter. All that matters is what I KNOW... It's a FACT that Jesus Christ through my doctor's hands healed me and I praise Him daily for it!

You will be in my prayers this week, Renee, and remember what Micey said and what I confirmed... Jesus Christ will be doing the surgery.

God bless you each and every day!
