Standing In The Need Of Prayer

Do you remember the spiritual Standing In The Need Of Prayer?

"It's me it's me it's me oh Lord"
Standing in the need of prayer...
It's me it's me it's me oh Lord
Standing in the need of prayer.
Not my brother, nor my sister
No, it's me oh Lord
Standing in the need of prayer......
At times in our lives we all stand before our Lord in need. A need that comes from deep inside. It is where I find myself.
First of all, thank you to those who came by my blog last week and offered to pray for me. I felt your prayers as they carried me through the week. If I may so humbly request, I am asking for prayers again as I now face surgery for uterine cancer. It appears to be a slow growing cancer so that is good news. What complicates matters for me, are my low levels of health due to Lyme Disease and all the reactions I have to medications, fragrances, chemicals, plastics, etc. It makes surgery and staying in a hospital risky for me.
God has been showering us with scriptures to deal with our worries, and the many decisions that need to be made concerning this surgery and where to have it. I must share two that brought both Joel and I comfort this week. Two scriptures blessed us two days in a row in two different ways. Leave it to God to make sure we get the message! I hope it blesses you too.
Proverbs 3:5,6
"Trust in the Lord in all your ways and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight."
Isaiah 30:21,22
"Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice saying, "this the is way, walk in it.' Then you will defile your idols overlaid with silver and your images covered with gold...you will throw them away like a menstrual cloth and say to them, 'Away with you!"
As we come before the Lord we say, "It's me Lord! Here I am standing before you in the need of prayer" And as only a Heavenly Father can, he blesses us in our times of need.

Be strong in the Lord's mighty power sister Renee. I just prayed for you and I will continue to stand in the gap with you and other precious siblings in Christ. If you don't mind, I would like to add your pic in my site and ask people to pray for you and link it back here. God bless.

Renee - you have been on my mind and heart this week and I continue to pray for you.

My husband is a cancer survivor (over sixteen years cancer free). I say cancer survivor as that is how the medical community terms it; but in reality God healed him of this disease. God's healing often comes through the hands of physicians and surgeons and this was the case with John. However, we give God all the glory.

I will be checking in on you dear one. Do you have a time frame for the surgery?

Blessings,
Joan

I'm so sorry to hear that you are going through more health problems and I will be praying for you as will many others I'm sure.
Isn't it great that we can pray to God and know that he hears us and meets our needs.

I'm standing with you, Renee. Lifting you up to our Heavenly Father. I'm praying that the surgeons not only remove the cancer but also the Lyme Disease.

Praying for you, sweet lady!

Renee, I was so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I pray you will have a successful surgery without complications. I'm glad the video I posted was a comfort to you. When I saw it on another site I thought about all the people who come to Spiritual Sundays who are going through different kinds of challenges and felt like it would be helpful.
I like that song Standing in the Need of Prayer. It's me, it's me, it's me, O Lord, I think is something we all can say without reservation.
Blessings, hugs & prayers,
Charlotte

Oh Renee, I will continue to pray for you and Joel. I'm sorry for this added burden, but am praying for complete healing in it and it is good to hear it is slow moving. I understand the reactions to meds, fragrances and all sorts of chemicals as I battle that myself in simply going to the doctor's office or having visitors in my home. God knows what you need and I will be holding you in the Light that it will all be taken care of and the best of circumstances will be provided for you. I'm glad you shared so that we can all pray and it is just like you to still encourage us with your song (still going on in my head) and the scriptures.

God bless and heal you Renee.
Much love,
Jan Lyn xox

I'm sorry about that diagnosis, Renee. That is a great verse about trusting the Lord. Praying for wisdom, peace, healing and protection for you. I am also sensitive to some of those things, so I understand your concern. Blessings ~

Blessings Renee... I am so sorry about all your health problems and now this. May the Healer, Jehovah Rapha be with you and cover you. I will stand in pray for you this week. I laid my hands on your sweet face here and prayed just now!

If I remember I will bring this prayer need to our Lighthouse of Prayer as well
http://thelighthouseofprayer.blogspot.com/
and lift you to the throne as you face your risky surgery. You are welcome also to leave a prayer there anytime time or prayer request.

I'm so glad that you caught this in time and it's slow growing.

You have two beautiful scriptures of God's promises, cling to them.
May HE bring Joel and you great comfort, strength, wisdom, healing and protection and anything else I missed.

This week, Monday AT THE WELL will be doing Jehovah Rapha Session 5
with a vimeo teaching by Jenifer:
