The quote above came from a friend's blog as she was reflecting on her life the past year. Obstacles. We all encounter them. It is just a matter of seeing life as very very good inspite of them....and maybe because of them. It might make life just a little easier if we accept that obstacles are as much a part of life as waking up to the sun or going to sleep by moonlight. We know they will show up as we journey through our lives, we just need to find ways to deal with them when they do.
Hebrews 12;1,2 instruct us on how to do that:
" Therefore, since we are surrounded by a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who inititates and perfects our faith."
Our race is set by God. Each one of us has a different course to run, but we are all given just what we need to finish our race and see life as very very good. Obstacles or not, keeping our eyes of Jesus will get us across the finish line!

Thank You!!! My brother and I were just talking about this very same thing today. Life is such a gift from God and it is so easy to be dissatisfied and long for the future when XY or Z will be better. Boy does Satan rob us of today when our eyes are set on what is better down the road!
Hugs,
Shannon
You are right, Renee. It's all about having the right perspective. Sometimes what we perceive as obstacles are in fact some of our greatest blessings.
I never used to see life as a gift but I do now....and am so grateful for it. The good and bad seem to balance itself out...but mostly He's always there and that's the best. Have a great weekend.
Amen, Sister!
I so agree with this post. And I needed to hear this scripture today! Confirmation! Yay!
Yes! Beautiful!!
Blessings,
Elaine
With God's help there is no obstacle too great that we cannot overcome...
Renee, thank you for the reminder.
Sweet Blessings...
How did you know? That's what I needed to hear. I've run across a new obstacle just this afternoon, but am reading through Spiritual Sundays to refocus. And you nailed it for me: look to Jesus!
Amen, Renee! I'm so grateful I don't have to run anyone else's race or jump over their obstacles. God gives us grace to go through whatever race He sets before us.
Praying for you, sweet lady!
I certainly agree with you. Sometimes we find out later than some of our obstacles have made us better people. Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Charlotte
I've found my obstacles always teach me something. It may not be something I want to learn, but I've found in the learning comes a blessing.
Beautiful job Renee! Yes, I am kind of seeing obstacles as bumps or curves in my road of life now and life is still a blessed gift. Some days I think what is not a miracle...everything seems to be!
So happy I can post here. Catching up with so many blogs that won't allow me to....
