Graham Cooke is an interesting Biblical teacher/evangelist.  I think you either like him or not although I cannot decide!  But when I googled the words, "entering His rest" I came up with a short video promoting his  series on "soaking".  I knew little about this, so I began doing research on the meaning behind the word. In researching I came across a book by Faith Blatchford entitled "Soaking 101". This small instructional book explains in simple language what it means to soak. Soaking basically  just means to "spend time with God."  I discovered that soaking is like meditation without the emptying of the mind, which can open the door to negative things.  Maybe you define it as quiet time with the Lord, or a time to listen.  However you define it, it is when you sit in God's presence.  It is a bit like going into the garden of my heart but without an agenda!  Just quietly waiting, praying, worshiping, and listening for Holy Spirit to speak to you.  Having a relationship with God is a priority for not only you but for God.  He delights in us after all! In response let us say:

"Let the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable to You, Lord,
our Rock and our Redeemer".
Psalm 19:14
No matter what name you apply to your quiet time of listening and meditating, Faith Blanchard says the focus is on God and the goal is intimacy with God.  It is not about us, it is about our Father God.  Yet in His loving way, we are blessed beyond measure during these special times with Him.

If you go over to U-Tube you will find "soaking music." That was where I first heard this. I also was introduced there to an incredible artist, Kathi Wilson, that I truly believes has a gift of healing in her music. I have put a link to her music before on my site, but you may not have gone over there. I ordered her C.D. at a time when I was heartbroken over a relationship that was strained with family. It brought much healing, and eventually I was able to forgive him (my brother) and we have a closer relationship now. Here is the link to hear her: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwXgW9rHtX8&list=FLmdW1XXK2HirQ2dXmM8LptA&index=87 Hope that works, if now just type in her name at U-Tube.
