"Praise and thanksgiving, Father we offer
Harvest of sown fields, fruits of the orchard,
hay from the mown fields, blossom and wood."
Even though God has created beauty for us to enjoy in each and every season the of the year, fall is my favorite! I just love all the colors~ oranges, rusts, and golds. I love the smells outside...the dry crisp air~ and I love the sounds of the dry leaves rustling, the squirrels hunting for food to store and the geese flying overhead on their way from the river at the end of our block to the nearby field and lake. Of course fall is also a time for gathering what the farmers and ranchers have sown. Harvest. And what's not to love about pumpkins, gourds, and squash picked from our gardens, too. Autumn has so many attributes to offer us.
It is so beautiful up here in the upper Midwest, I would like autumn to last 6 months of the year. Yet, God in all his majesty, has created the 4 seasons for us to enjoy. I just enjoy fall a little more than the others! It is a time to pause and give thanks for the beauty of God's creation and the bounty of our farmers and ranchers hard work. Thank you Lord for another fall season that is filled with your glory!

Beautiful pix! I'm glad for you that its your favorite time of year!
I am not sure I have one. Not usually winter as we get so much rain and dreary days here in the NW. But I do love it when it snows!
Blessings,
Elaine
Totally loved the photos. Fall is my favorite time of year as well.
Thanks for the emotional "lift".
Hi Renee. I enjoyed reading your take on Autumn. It truly is beautiful and the colours are breathtaking. When I lived in BC many years ago, I was always awed by autumn's beauty. It must bless God's heart so much when we enjoy and appreciate the beauty He creates. God bless!
Hi Renee....I love Fall too...the colors...smells...crips air and it always feels like new beginnings. Take gentle care.
The first day of Fall here was warm, windy and humid! It felt like the warmest day we've had all summer!!!! But, yes- I do see and love all the changes. It's harvest time. The leaves are begining to change color. The birds are flocking together. Beautiful!!!
Happy Spiritual Sunday!!! P.S. I have three posts this week- A Leap of Faith, Saving Savvy and God Loves Seniors and So Do I. Guess I caught the writer's bug!!! LoL.
Very beautiful time of year. Thank you and bless you!
Beautiful pictures. It's my favorite season, too. The whole idea of Harvest and Thanksgiving brings deep satisfaction. I take all the regular decorations down and replace them with autumn's colors. Today I made my first pumpkin roll. That's a sure sign of fall!
I'm with you, Renee, although we have very little autumn-like weather. We often go from summer into winter. (It happened in one day last year on Thanksgiving. The first time I have ever used air conditioning that late in the year and by night, we were using heat.)
I enjoy all four seasons - each has its own beauty, but fall is my favorite.
Beautiful pictures. I love fall too although in Texas it seems to come much later than the rest of the country! So blessed to see changes all around and blessed that God makes all things new.
Blessings!
Misty
This is definitely your time of year. Enjoy it! I am too.
Beautiful descriptions. Fall is my favorite time of the year too. Even here in the desert where the changes are not as distinct, there is a different feel as the days get shorter and we don't have to run the air conditioners quite as much. About the end of October it will be wonderful here. Today it was 107 but it's supposed to be cooler next week.
Blessings,
Charlotte
Hi Renee,
Thank you for sharing your lovely post of thanksgiving. Although autumn is not my favourite time of year, I am thankful for the many splendors of the season. Thank you for your visit and your prayers. Have a beautiful day, my friend.
Blessings,
Sandi
I love the autumn, too. In fact, I love the colors of that season so much that I've decorated my home with them - orange/rust/brown/green. I especially love your picture with the flying geese! Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
Blessings, Joan
Lovely pictures and post, Dear ~ Thanks for reminding us of all God's blessings.
We are starting to enjoy fall here too. (Wisconsin) I love the light and the warm colors, the crisp air and the sounds of geese overhead. Now, if we could skip winter and go right to spring, I'd be one happy camper! (0:
